Five finished jobs
Half walls opened, archways hung with doors, porches put back on their feet.
Each one from HandyMac's own job photos and Google reviews, walked from the first problem to the finished room.
01
Loft · open stairwell
A half wall came out, an open railing went in
The half wall around a loft stair was opened up into a stairwell railing: black basket balusters between white newel posts, set into the oak floor. The owner's review says the install was quick, clean and easy.
02
Hallway · archway to door
An open archway turned into a real door
An arched opening was framed in to take a new six-panel door, and a white barn door went up on a black track beside it. Two openings that now close, with trim to match the hall.
03
Front porch · structural repair
A rotted porch post rebuilt
The post holding up a porch corner had rotted through at the deck and snapped off. Joel rebuilt the structure and the white railing and stair rail, so the porch is solid to lean on again.
04
Back room · slider removed
A leaking slider rebuilt as a wall and a window
A sliding door was taken out inside and out, the opening framed and closed, and a single double-hung window set in its place. Insulated, trimmed, painted, and the room got its wall back.
05
Bathroom · renovation
A dark bath brought back to bright
A navy accent wall and a dated vanity gave way to white walls, a navy vanity with a brass faucet and a recessed medicine cabinet. Sink, faucet and toilet set and sealed, leak-checked before he left.
Can Joel do whatever needs doing around the house?
One of his customers in Red Hill put it best: install things, fix things, figure out how to get things to work. Nine kinds of work, all done by the same pair of hands.
“Joel showed up on time and completed several jobs for us. He even very willingly completed several things that came up since scheduling. He even suggested ways to make some jobs better than we anticipated. We were completely satisfied and will recommend him to all our friends plus call on him again ourselves. His work was flawless and very well priced!”
“Joel's knowledge of home building techniques is outstanding. When you combine that with his ability to think outside the box, working with Joel is extremely easy.”
“Joel installed a new bathroom sink and faucet. He showed up when promised. He stood by his original estimate. I am completely satisfied with the work.”
“Would highly recommend this company. Work done was very professional. Joel went above and beyond what we needed. Timely and very courteous. Consciousness about cleaning up.”
“Joel can do whatever needs to be done around the house: install things, fix things; he can figure out how to get things to work; he will make suggestions to make things better or easier for us, but will do whatever we want; his work is good, there is no doubt about that; cleans up well after.”
